The Department of Psychiatry at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City is pleased to announce an opportunity for a full time psychologist in our HIV ambulatory clinics.  Responsibilities include both direct and supervisory involvement in outpatient evaluations and ongoing psychological management of patients with and without co-occurring disorders. Positions include faculty appointment commensurate with experience in the Department of Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai Medical School and additional opportunities for faculty practice. Salary is competitive. Qualified candidates will possess a valid license to practice psychology in the state of New York. Bi-lingual English & Spanish speaking applicants, as well as those with significant training and experience working with patients with HIV/AIDS, patients in the LGBT community, and patients’ with substance use disorders are all desired.

The Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy is pleased to announce its 3rd Annual Student and Faculty Scholarship Competition.

The Beck Institute will award 10 recipients (graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, residents, and faculty in psychology, psychiatry, social work, nursing, and counseling) with full tuition scholarships to our 3-day Student and Faculty Workshop, in Philadelphia, PA, on August 13 – 15, 2012.

This experiential workshop will provide expert training in evidence-based treatment and will include a special conversation hour with Dr. Aaron Beck.

Child, Family, & Adult Services of Westchester (CFA-W) is now accepting applications for 1 part-time Clinical Psychologist position. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
Qualified candidates will have completed an APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical psychology, internship, and post-doctoral training prior to start date, and should be licensed in the state of NY (license-eligible may be considered, as well). Strong clinical skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong training background/clinical experience in child/adolescent CBT are required. The psychologist may have the opportunity to participate in CBT consultation team meetings, lead or co-lead groups, co-lead CBT trainings in the community, and obtain further experience with the following treatment modalities:

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
Exposure with Response Prevention
Behavioral Activation
Cognitive Restructuring
Mindfulness and Relaxation
Coping Skills Training
Problem-Solving Skills Training
Organizational/Study Skills Training

MATCH-ADTC (a new modular CBT approach designed to address co-occurring symptoms of anxiety, depression, and/or disruptive behavior in youth)

The position will begin on a part-time basis (flexible evening times available) with the opportunity for growth as our program continues to develop.
